One-day trip
At 9,00 h. pick-up from your hotel and departure to Koprivshtitsa. The town-museum has a legendary history and fascinating present. Known as the cradle of the Bulgarian Renaissance, it is the native place of famous Bulgarian writers and poets. Set among the beautful nature of the Balkan range, there you can feel the typical atmosphere of 18th – 19th century. Take a walk among the quite cobbled streets, visit the house-museums of prominient Bulgarians, see the collection at the Ethnographic museum and the beautiful carvings and iconostsis at the church. Cross the bridge of the "First gun-shot" announsing the April Uprising - a turning point in the stuggle of the Bulgarian people for liberation from the Otoman yoke. Choose from the colorful souvenirs - hand-made rugs, emroidery or woodcarvings. Then relax in one of taverns for lunch. In the afternoon drive back to Sofia – arrival at the hotel about 17,00 h.
